QUICK START
Charge your headset using the AC adapter, the USB or car charger.
Take the charger and plug the charging tip into the socket on the headset
Plug the end of the AC adapter into a wall outlet, or the end of your USB charger into your PC or use the car charger in your car
Red light: Your headset is less than 20% charged
Yellow light: Your headset is between 20% and 70% charged
Green light: Your headset is between 70% and fully charged (take approx. 2 hours). When the headset is fully charged the green light will turn off.
Charge your headset in the car in between calls.
The functional design also serves as a headset holder for convenient storage and access.
Slide the ON/OFF button down/forward
The indicator light will flash blue when the headset is on. Voice Guidance will tell you "Powered On"

The indicator light will flash blue turning off the headset. Voice Guidance will tell you "Powered Off"
First time you turn your headset on, the Jabra EXTREME automatically enters into pairing mode (indicator light flashing blue).
For later pairing:
Turn the headset on and press and hold the Answer/End button.
The indicator flashing blue when the headset is ready for pairing.
The Jabra EXTREME2 can be paired with up to 8 different Bluetooth® devices and connected to two of them at the same time.
Your Jabra EXTREME2 will voice guide you through the pairing process with your mobile phone.
Set your Bluetooth phone to discover the Jabra EXTREME2. Follow your phone's instruction guide. This usually involves going to a "setup", "connect" or "Bluetooth" menu on your phone and selecting the option to discover or add a Bluetooth device.
Your phone will find the Jabra EXTREME2.
The Jabra EXTREME2 and your phone then asks if you want to pair with it. Accept by pressing "yes" or "OK" on the phone and confirm with the passkey or PIN = 0000 (four zeros) if asked for.
Your phone will confirm when pairing is complete. In case of unsuccessful pairing, repeat the steps.
When the blue indicator light flashes intermittently, pairing is successful.
When you receive a call the indicator will flash blue
Voice Guidance will tell you who is calling
Tap the Answer/End button on your headset to answer the call
When you want to end a call, tap the Answer/End button on your headset
Voice Guidance will tell you "Call ended"
To increase volume: tap the button with the + symbol repeatedly until the desired volume is reached.
To decrease the volume: tap the button with the - symbol repeatedly until the desired volume is reached.
Tap volume up or down to check battery status
Voice Guidance will tell you the battery level and the indicator light indicator will light up
The Jabra EXTREME2 can be worn on both ears - with or without an ear hook.
The headset comes with 2 ear hooks in different sizes and eargels: 1 standard eargel and 2 Ultimate Comfort Eargels™.
Jabra EXTREME2 comes with Ultimate Comfort Eargels™ that mold to the ear to ensure all-day comfort and a secure fit.

Please verify that your phone supports the A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth Stereo profiles. Without those profiles in your phone the music will not transmit via the Bluetooth link. Please check with your phone provider to verify your phone's supported profiles.

In order to listen to music using Bluetooth, your phone will need to have the Bluetooth music profile A2DP. To check if your phone is equipped with this profile, please check Jabra's Compatibility Guide or contact your service provider for more information.

Ensure that your phone supports the Bluetooth phonebook access profile (PBAP) and that the name of the caller is in your phonebook.
Please note that on some Android phones a warning message about the phonebook access appears in the top left corner. You must select this message and agree to the connection in order to get the caller ID to function properly.

- Make sure your phone is connected to the headset by tapping the answer/end button.

- Make sure the headset is connected to your Bluetooth enabled device. You may have been out-of-range (10 metres / 33 feet) of your Bluetooth-enabled device, or the headset might have experienced an ESD (Electrostatic discharge) incident.
- Press the answer/end button to re-establish the Bluetooth audio link. Increase the volume on your device.
- Make sure that your headset is charged.

Bluetooth is a radio technology which means it is sensitive to objects between the headset and the device it is connected to. You should be able to have up to 10 metres (33 feet) of distance between the headset and the connected device when there are no major objects in the way (walls, etc.).

Make sure the other device supports Bluetooth 1.1 or 1. 2, including the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), otherwise it will not work. Please consult the user manual of the device you are using for how to pair it to a Bluetooth stereo headset.

All wireless devices may be susceptible to interference, which could affect performance. Please try the following steps:
- Keep the headset on the same side of your body as the phone.
- Make sure there is a direct line of contact between the headset and your phone. The Bluetooth signal may have difficulty transmitting through walls, buildings or people. Static or interference is sometimes environmental. Interference can be caused by e.g. computers, cordless phones, microwaves etc.

Jabra headsets and speakerphones follow the Bluetooth standard. Bluetooth devices that follow the standard are compatible. Refer to your mobile phone’s specifications to see, if it meets the Bluetooth standard. Products using different revisions of the Bluetooth standard also work together.
Later versions of Bluetooth are backward-compatible with previous versions. Features and specifications of Bluetooth communication will always revert to the older version in use.

You can use your headset with your Apple iPhone, but please note that while the headset is compatible for iPhone telephone applications, music applications may not perform correctly, e.g. Play/Pause, Skip Next/Previous, Volume Up/Down, etc.

The headset is designed to work with Bluetooth mobile phones. It can also work with other Bluetooth devices that are compliant with Bluetooth version 1.1 or higher and support a headset and /or hands-free profile.

No, Bluetooth is an open standard and as such you can use any headset with your mobile phone. There is no need for your headset to be the same brand as your mobile phone.

Multiuse functionality enables you to be connected to two different devices at the same time (e.g. a mobile phone and a PC). For example you can use the same headset for both listening to music from your mobile phone and for Internet telephony (e.g. Skype or Google Talk) at the same time.

You may have deleted your headset pairing connection in your mobile phone/device. Refer to the section in the User Manual and follow the pairing instructions to pair it again.

The first time you turn the headset on, it will go into pairing mode automatically.
To put the headset into pairing mode:
- Make sure that the headset is powered on.
- Press and hold the answer/end button as long as it takes until the blue light is on steady (without blinking).
- Follow the pairing procedure for your phone. Refer to your phone’s user manual for details.

Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) is a Bluetooth profile that makes it possible to control e.g. a phone from a Bluetooth headset when streaming music.

The headset cannot be used while charging for safety reasons. Please allow the headset to charge fully then disconnect it from the charger and it will be ready for use.

Some phones may start the music player once it connects to the headset. Re-pair your headset to the device in order to avoid this behaviour.
- Make sure the headset is off.
- Press and hold the answer/end button for approx. 5 seconds until the light turns solid blue.
- Continue to press and hold the answer/end button until the solid blue light turns off.
- Continue to press and hold the button until a solid purple light turns on.
- Go through the regular steps for pairing the headset to a Bluetooth device.

The headset can be charged from a PC/Mac using a USB cable, e.g. mini or micro USB cable. Not all products have a USB cable included in the packaging. If you do not have a suitable cable already, you can purchase one from our webshop:
