FAQ

  • Audio

    • I can use my Jabra headset for phone calls, but I cannot hear my music through the headset.

Please verify that your phone supports the A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth Stereo profiles. Without those profiles in your phone the music will not transmit via the Bluetooth link. Please check with your phone provider to verify your phone's supported profiles.

    • Why is the music that I have on my phone not playing in my headset?

In order to listen to music using Bluetooth, your phone will need to have the Bluetooth music profile A2DP. To check if your phone is equipped with this profile, please check Jabra's Compatibility Guide or contact your service provider for more information.

    • I cannot hear the phone call in my headset.

      Please try the following steps:

      1. Increase the volume on your headset.
      2. Make sure your phone is connected to the headset by tapping the answer/end button.
      3. Ensure that the headset is paired to your phone.
      4. Make sure your phone is connected to the headset in the phone’s menu or by tapping the answer/end button on the headset.

    • I cannot hear music in my headset.

      Please try the following steps:

      1. Make sure the headset is connected to your Bluetooth enabled device. You may have been out-of-range (10 metres / 33 feet) of your Bluetooth-enabled device, or the headset might have experienced an ESD (Electrostatic discharge) incident.
      2. Press the answer/end button to re-establish the Bluetooth audio link. Increase the volume on your device.
      3. Make sure that your headset is charged.

    • I cannot hear anything in my headset.

      Please try the following steps:

      1. Increase the volume in the headset.
      2. Ensure that the headset is paired to a device.
      3. Ensure your phone is connected to the headset by tapping the answer/end button.

    • I hear crackling noises in my headset.

Bluetooth is a radio technology which means it is sensitive to objects between the headset and the device it is connected to. You should be able to have up to 10 metres (33 feet) of distance between the headset and the connected device when there are no major objects in the way (walls, etc.).

    • I have problems streaming in stereo from my music device (mobile phone, PC, MP3-player etc.).

Make sure the other device supports Bluetooth 1.1 or 1. 2, including the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), otherwise it will not work. Please consult the user manual of the device you are using for how to pair it to a Bluetooth stereo headset.

    • Why am I receiving static on my Bluetooth headset?

All wireless devices may be susceptible to interference, which could affect performance. Please try the following steps:

      1. Keep the headset on the same side of your body as the phone.
      2. Make sure there is a direct line of contact between the headset and your phone. The Bluetooth signal may have difficulty transmitting through walls, buildings or people. Static or interference is sometimes environmental. Interference can be caused by e.g. computers, cordless phones, microwaves etc.

  • Compatibility

    • Is my Jabra headset compatible with my mobile phone?

Later versions of Bluetooth are backward-compatible with previous versions. Features and specifications of Bluetooth communication will always revert to the older version in use.

    • Can I use my Jabra headset with my iPhone?

You can use your headset with your Apple iPhone, but please note that while the headset is compatible for iPhone telephone applications, music applications may not perform correctly, e.g. Play/Pause, Skip Next/Previous, Volume Up/Down, etc.
