How does the conference switch operate on the GN9120?

A conference circuit on the GN9120 needs a GN9120-xx-01/11 and at least one more headset (maximum 4 headsets simultaneously on one station). These can also be ordered individually with a separate charging station. (Single headset: 91xx-01 // Charging station: 9160-01)

Remove the headset from the base station and place a call.

This headset is now the "Master headset" and controls the conference.

Now place the second headset in the base station during the call. All signal lights are displayed on the base for approx. 5 seconds. Afterwards the recharging display will blink for the duration of the charging, and the wireless symbol for as long as the master headset connection remains established.

(The red "mute" light goes out after approx. 5 sec)

After this process, remove the second headset from the station. A simple signal tone can be heard in the headset and this is acknowledged by pressing the multifunction button once.

 (press once)

The second headset is now in the conference. The second participant can now leave the conference by pressing the multifunction button once or the master headset can completely end the conference by pressing the multifunction button once.

If a second headset from an existing station was used, then this headset is automatically connected back to its original base station when the conference ends.

TIP:

This switching to conference can take place even without a telepone or PC, as what is known as the "Walkie Talkie function." This is how the GN9120 enables a conference of up to 4 participants within a 150 m range; however, the connection to the master headset must be maintained, because if this ends the connection, then they will all need to be re-established.
