  • How do I connect my Jabra in-car speakerphone and radio using the FM transmitter?

To connect your Jabra in-car speakerphone and radio using the FM transmitter, use the following steps:

    1. Turn on the radio, and set the in-car speakerphone to FM mode (the FM status icon is on). Make sure the TA (Traffic Announcement) mode on the radio is not on.
    2. The radio should be able to find the in-car speakerphone using the search function. In urban areas, this may be difficult. Try using a frequency in the lower or upper end of the FM band (for example 88.1 or 107.7 MHz), where there is a better chance of finding a clear frequency.
    3. If the radio does not find the in-car speakerphone, you must tune in the FM frequency manually. Refer to the user manual for the radio to learn how to do this.

  • Why does my Jabra headset not announce the caller's name during incoming calls?

Make sure that your phone supports the Bluetooth phonebook access profile (PBAP) and that the name of the caller is stored in your phone book.

    See the following prerequisites:

    • Your mobile phone supports the Bluetooth Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP).
    • During pairing, you must have allowed access to your phone book.
    • The calling number must be associated with a stored contact in the phone book.
    • The incoming call is not from an unknown, unlisted, or blocked caller.

  • Why do I hear static noise?

Bluetooth is a radio technology, so it is sensitive to objects that are placed between paired devices and can block radio signals. To avoid poor sound quality, it is recommended that the distance between paired devices does not exceed 33 feet (10m), and that objects placed between the devices is avoided.

The following are examples of objects that can block radio signals:

    • Walls
    • Doors
    • Windows
    • Environments with massive presence of Wi-Fi

Low battery capacity in the Jabra headset and mobile phone may also affect the range.

Note: Some Jabra headsets support a longer range, but are dependent on the mobile phone that it is paired with.

    • How do I charge my Jabra headset?

Use the supplied USB cable to charge your headset on a computer. Some computers may have a dedicated USB charging port, which is identifiable by its yellow color or a battery icon next to it. For more information, refer to the user manual for your computer.

Some computers use a USB suspend mode to save power. This may cut off power, so the headset cannot be charged on the USB port, even though the light indicator on the headset shows that it is charging.

If the battery level on the headset has not changed after charging for two hours, you can use the following alternative charging methods.

      Jabra options:
Purchase a Jabra AC adapter or Jabra car charger online here or at a nearby retailer.

      Third party options:
Use a third party Micro-USB charger to charge your headset on your mobile phone. A third party charger should meet the following requirements:

      • A mono/stereo Bluetooth headset, such as Jabra Stealth or Jabra Sport Pulse Wireless, is charged by a charger/cable that supports a minimum of 500mA and a maximum of 2100mA.
      • Speakerphones/music speakers, such as Jabra Speak 450 or Jabra Solemate Mini, are charged by a charger/cable that supports a minimum of 500mA and a maximum of 2100mA.
      • In-car speakerphones, such as Jabra Tour, are charged by a charger/cable that supports a minimum of 750mA and a maximum of 2100mA.
      • The Jabra Solemate and Jabra Solemate 2nd generation with NFC are charged by a charger/cable that supports a minimum of 1000mA and a maximum of 2100mA.
      • For the Jabra Solemate Max, only the original AC adapter is recommended. See accessories online here

When using a third party charger, make sure that the charger is certified for use in the country you are located in, and that you use the correct plug for the country you are located in.

Note: Charging time may vary depending on the output of the charger.
