  • How do I pair my Jabra Stone3 with two mobile phones?

    To pair your Jabra Stone3 with two mobile phones, decide which mobile device will be your primary device (the one able to receive voice commands from your headset) and which will be your secondary device. When connecting, always start with your secondary device.

    1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both mobile devices.

    2. Ensure the Jabra Stone3 is turned off.

    3. Press and hold the Answer/end button for 5 seconds until the Bluetooth light flashes blue.



    4. Follow the voice-guided pairing instructions to connect to your secondary device.



    5. If asked for a passkey or PIN enter 0000 (four zeros).

    6. Once you have connected to your secondary mobile device, turn off the Jabra Stone3 off and repeat steps 3 and 4 to connect to your primary device.

    7. After connecting to your primary device, turn off the Jabra Stone3.


    8. When the headset is turned on it will connect to both devices.

    Note: It can take up to 1 minute to automatically connect to the connected mobile devices. If the Jabra Stone3 does not connect to both, connect to the headset from your mobile devices’ Bluetooth menus.

    The headset is announcing that it has disconnected. This could mean the following: 

    • The connected phone/device has been turned off.
    • The connected phone/device is out of range of the headset.
    • Bluetooth has been disabled on the connected phone/device.

    • I cannot hear music in my headset.

      Please try the following steps:

      1. Make sure the headset is connected to your Bluetooth enabled device. You may have been out-of-range (10 metres / 33 feet) of your Bluetooth-enabled device, or the headset might have experienced an ESD (Electrostatic discharge) incident.
      2. Press the answer/end button to re-establish the Bluetooth audio link. Increase the volume on your device.
      3. Make sure that your headset is charged.

    • I hear crackling noises

      A Bluetooth is a radio technology, which means it is sensitive
      to objects between connected devices. To avoid crackling noises

    • I have problems streaming in stereo from my music device (mobile phone, PC, MP3-player etc.).

      Make sure the other device supports Bluetooth 1.1 or 1. 2, including the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), otherwise it will not work. Please consult the user manual of the device you are using for how to pair it to a Bluetooth stereo headset.

    • Why am I receiving static on my Bluetooth headset?

      All wireless devices may be susceptible to interference, which could affect performance. Please try the following steps:

      1. Keep the headset on the same side of your body as the phone.
      2. Make sure there is a direct line of contact between the headset and your phone. The Bluetooth signal may have difficulty transmitting through walls, buildings or people. Static or interference is sometimes environmental. Interference can be caused by e.g. computers, cordless phones, microwaves etc.

      No, Bluetooth is an open standard and as such you can use any headset with your mobile phone. There is no need for your headset to be the same brand as your mobile phone.

    • How do I pair up my Jabra NFC headset with Windows Mobile Phone 8?

      1. Go to Settings on your Windows Phone

      2. Go to the Tap + Send menu

      3. Switch it from Off to On


      4. Your NFC (Tap + Send) is now turned on and is ready to be used

      5. Turn your Jabra device on.

      6. To pair your phone with a Jabra device, touch the NFC area of your phone with the NFC area of your headset. The devices will pair up successfully.  Remember to accept pairing on your phone if prompted.

      Note that the NFC areas on Jabra headsets may vary from device to device. Please check your user manual to find your device NFC area.

      This is best practice for rechargeable batteries in general and is not related specifically to Jabra headsets, but to the technology itself. Below are examples of how to preserve and store are chargeable battery to help ensure a long battery life.

      • Avoid placement in direct sunlight
      • Avoid placement in extreme cold
      • Batteries should not be stored for extended periods without being recharged, we recommend you charge it every 3 months for most products

      If you handle or store your rechargeable battery incorrectly, its lifetime may be reduced.

    • What is Near Field Communication (NFC)?

      NFC is the abbreviation for Near Field Communication, which is a set of standards used by Jabra to
      establish radio communication between headsets and phones at a distance of no more than few centimeters.

      You can pair and listen to music over Bluetooth by tapping your devices together. Your mobile device
      need to have the NFC functionality and this has to be enabled.

    • I am unable to take any calls when my headset is charging.

      The headset cannot be used while charging for safety reasons. Please allow the headset to charge fully then disconnect it from the charger and it will be ready for use.

    • The music player starts playing when connecting to my Jabra headset.

      Some phones may start the music player once it connects to the headset. Re-pair your headset to the device in order to avoid this behaviour. 

      1. Make sure the headset is off.
      2. Press and hold the answer/end button for approx. 5 seconds until the light turns solid blue.
      3. Continue to press and hold the answer/end button until the solid blue light turns off.
      4. Continue to press and hold the button until a solid purple light turns on.
      5. Go through the regular steps for pairing the headset to a Bluetooth device.
