  • How do I connect my Jabra Style to my mobile device using Bluetooth?

    The first time the headset is powered on it will automatically enter pairing mode. Follow the pairing instructions to connect.

    To manually connect, follow the steps below:

    1. Turn off the Jabra device.


    3. Hold the Off/On/Pairing switch in the Pairing position for 1 second, until the Bluetooth light flashes blue.

     

    3. Activate Bluetooth on the mobile device, and select Jabra Style. If asked for a pin code or passkey, enter 0000 (4 zeros).

    1. Ensure NFC and Bluetooth are enabled on the mobile device.

    2. Turn on the Jabra device.

    3. Locate and tap the NFC zone of the Jabra device against the NFC zone of the mobile device.


    4. Follow the pairing instructions to connect. If asked for a pin code or passkey, enter 0000 (four zeros).

  • How do I pair my Jabra Style with two mobile phones at the same time?

    To pair your Jabra Style with two mobile phones determine  which one will be your primary phone (the one able to receive voice commands from your headset) and which one will be your secondary phone. When pairing, note that you start with your secondary choice.
    The phone able to use the manual redial feature is the last one  to have made a call.

    Note that the headset always will try to connect to your primary device first.

    The headset supports multiple call handling on up to two mobile phones at a  time.

    1. Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.

    2. Turn your headset on.

    3. To pair with the first mobile phone (secondary device) hold the Off/On/Pairing switch in the Pairing position for 1 second until the Bluetooth indicator flashes blue and pairing mode is announced in the headset.



    4. Follow your device Bluetooth pairing instructions, and pair with the headset.

     

    If asked for a passkey or PIN the code is 0000 (four zeroes)

     

    5. To pair with your second mobile phone (primary device) hold the Off/On/Pairing switch in the Pairing position for 1 second until the Bluetooth indicator flashes blue and pairing mode is announced in the headset.

    6. Follow your device Bluetooth pairing instructions, and pair with the headset.

    If asked for a passkey or PIN the code is 0000 (four zeroes)

     It can take up to one minute for the headset to automatically connect with the paired devices. If the headset stalls on connecting to both your phones, connect to it from your mobile phone’s Bluetooth menu.

    • Why am I receiving static on my Bluetooth headset?

      All wireless devices may be susceptible to interference, which could affect performance. Please try the following steps:

      1. Keep the headset on the same side of your body as the phone.
      2. Make sure there is a direct line of contact between the headset and your phone. The Bluetooth signal may have difficulty transmitting through walls, buildings or people. Static or interference is sometimes environmental. Interference can be caused by e.g. computers, cordless phones, microwaves etc.

    • Why is my Jabra Style turned off when the switch is ON?

      The headset is in power nap mode.

      When you connect your headset to the charger and the On/Off/Pairing switch is in On mode, the headset will go into power nap automatically when the headset is disconnected from the charger.

      There are two ways to turn off power nap.


      1: Press the Answer/End button once and the headset will power on and reconnect to your device.

       

      2: Slide the On/Off/Pairing switch to the Off position and then back to the On position.

    • What is PowerNap™?

      PowerNap™ is a feature that extends headset battery life by placing the headset into standby mode when the headset has not been in use, or connected via Bluetooth, for 60 minutes.

      To exit Power Nap Tap the Multi-Function button or the Answer/end button. The headset will announce ‘Power On’ when exiting Power Nap.

      To answer a call when the headset is in PowerNap mode, tap the Multi-function button once. The headset will exit Power Nap mode and answer the call.

    • How do I pair up my Jabra NFC headset with Windows Mobile Phone 8?

      1. Go to Settings on your Windows Phone

      2. Go to the Tap + Send menu

      3. Switch it from Off to On


      4. Your NFC (Tap + Send) is now turned on and is ready to be used

      5. Turn your Jabra device on.

      6. To pair your phone with a Jabra device, touch the NFC area of your phone with the NFC area of your headset. The devices will pair up successfully.  Remember to accept pairing on your phone if prompted.

      Note that the NFC areas on Jabra headsets may vary from device to device. Please check your user manual to find your device NFC area.

      Check your mobile device’s Bluetooth menu and delete/forget the headset. Re-connect the headset to your Bluetooth device following the Bluetooth connection instructions below:

      This is best practice for rechargeable batteries in general and is not related specifically to Jabra headsets, but to the technology itself. Below are examples of how to preserve and store are chargeable battery to help ensure a long battery life.

      • Avoid placement in direct sunlight
      • Avoid placement in extreme cold
      • Batteries should not be stored for extended periods without being recharged, we recommend you charge it every 3 months for most products

      If you handle or store your rechargeable battery incorrectly, its lifetime may be reduced.

      NFC is the abbreviation for Near Field Communication, which is a set of standards used by Jabra to
      establish radio communication between headsets and phones at a distance of no more than few centimeters.

      You can pair and listen to music over Bluetooth by tapping your devices together. Your mobile device
      need to have the NFC functionality and this has to be enabled.
