  • Which Jabra cord is recommended for use with the Avaya 1600 and 9600 series telephones?

    It is recommended to use the Jabra GN1216 Avaya cord (Jabra product number 88001-03 or 88001-04) as a part of the corded solution with Avaya 1600 and 9600 series telephones. Note that the Jabra GN1216 Avaya cord must be connected to Avaya telephones using the headset port, and cannot be used with telephones that do not have a headset port.

    • I can hear myself talking when using my headset - can this be adjusted?

      You can adjust the sidetone, if you experience an echo.

      1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
      2. Click Sound.
      3. Select the headset to adjust, and then click Properties.



      4. Click the Levels tab.
      5. Adjust the level of the sidetone, and click OK.



      Note: For the Jabra Evolve 80 series and the Jabra Evolve 40 series, the headset must be connected to the USB port of the PC using the supplied controller (for example the Jabra Evolve Link). You cannot adjust the sidetone if the jack is plugged directly in the PC.

      Prerequisites

      To add an emergency number, follow these steps:

      1. Open Jabra Direct.
      2. Click Settings.

       

      3. Scroll down and expand Button configuration.
      4. In Emergency number, enter the number to use.



      5. Click Apply.


      How to use the emergency number:


      To use the emergency number, simultaneously press any two buttons. This will also work if the computer is locked.
