  • Why can I not Answer/end calls on my softphone e.g. Skype directly on my Jabra Device?

    Prerequisites

    To use features like Answer/end, mute and volume synchronization you will need to download and install Jabra Direct to ensure full call control.

    Note: Please verify with the Jabra Direct product page for supported softphones on www.jabra.com/direct.
    In Skype please accept the Jabra Direct integration if not the mentioned functions will not work.

  • What to do if I have a hard time hearing the person on the other end of the line when I use my Jabra BIZ 360?

    ​If you have difficulty in hearing the person on the other end of the line then try turning up the volume on the in-line call control. If the problem persists, you should consider switching from a mono to a duo headset.

  • How do I setup my Jabra Device to work with IBM Sametime for Windows?

    Prerequisites

    Jabra Direct will try and set the default softphone automatically.
    To change to IBM Sametime manually, please follow these steps:

    1. IBM Sametime must be closed before installing Jabra Direct.
    2. Install Jabra Direct.
    3. Open Jabra Direct.
    4. Click on Settings.



    5. Scroll down and expand the Softphone (PC) button.
    6. In Preferred softphone dropdown menu, choose IBM Sametime and click Apply.



    7. Startup IBM Sametime.
    8. Select File and choose Preferences.



    9. Select the Voice and Video option.
    10. For each of the three audio settings (Microphone, Speakers and Ringing), select your desired Jabra Device from the dropdown menu.



    11. When done, click Apply, then OK.
    12. Jabra Direct should state the Jabra device and IBM Sametime is ready for use.



    Note: Make sure your softphone is active and logged in for Jabra Direct to show it is ready. See a full list of compatible softphone on www.jabra.com/direct.

  • How do I setup my Jabra Device to work with Skype for Windows?

    Prerequisites

      Prerequisites

      Jabra Direct will try and set the default softphone automatically.
      To change to Cisco IP Communicator manually, please follow these steps:

      1. Cisco IP Communicator must be closed before installing Jabra Direct.
      2. Install Jabra Direct.
      3. Open Jabra Direct.
      4. Click on Settings.



      5. Scroll down and expand the Softphone (PC) button.
      6. In Preferred softphone dropdown menu, choose Cisco IP Communicator and click Apply.



      7. Startup Cisco IP Communicator.
      8. Select the Menu button and choose Audio Tuning Wizard.





      9. To start the wizard, click Next.



      10. For each of the four audio settings (Headset, Speakerphone, Handset and Ringer), select the desired Jabra device from the dropdown menu.



      11. To test the listening volume, click Play.



      12. To test the microphone volume, click Test.



      13. When done, click Finish.



      14. Jabra Direct should state the Jabra device and Cisco IP Communicator is ready for use.



      Note: Make sure your softphone is active and logged in for Jabra Direct to show it is ready. See a full list of compatible softphone on www.jabra.com/direct.
