To set your softphone as the preferred softphone in Jabra Direct, follow these steps:
Note: If you are using a Jabra Pro 9470, 9465, 9460, Jabra Go 6470, Jabra Dial 550, or Jabra Motion Office, the preferred softphone selected in Jabra Direct will override the softphone selected on the device itself.
You must manually define the setting for the default audio device in Windows. Follow these steps:
You may need to adjust the positioning of the boom arm. This is especially important when you use a headset that has a noise-cancelling microphone, which must be positioned close to the mouth.
Alternatively, adjust the volume of the microphone on the base. Refer to the Quick Start Guide or User Manual for more information.
Jabra Direct does not support remote call control for softphones for the Jabra GN 93xx series.
The previous Jabra PC Suite still supports remote call control, and can be obtained through Jabra Business support.
Yes, Jabra headsets are safe to use. All Jabra headsets feature a technology that protects the wearer against sudden, loud sound spikes. Many acoustic experts define acoustic shock as exposure to sounds over 135 dB SPL, although even lower sounds can damage the hearing. Therefore, all Jabra headsets cut off sounds at 118 dB SPL RMS (Root Mean Square).

The Jabra Biz 2400 Series, like all Jabra headsets, cuts off sounds at 118 dB SPL RMS (Root Mean Square). The Jabra Biz 2400 Series features technology that protects users against the effects of sudden spikes of loud sound, such as the high pitched tone from a fax machine.
Furthermore, the Jabra Biz 2400 USB features technology that ensures safe average sound levels, making it the world’s first corded USB headset with built-in compliance to the strict noise-at-work regulations enforced in the EU.
Used with the Jabra GN8210 digital amplifier, the Jabra Biz 2400 IP and Jabra Biz 2400 headsets also comply with international health and safety directives to protect users against the dangers associated with long-term cumulative exposure to noise.
These guidelines apply to the use of batteries in general, and do not apply specifically to their use with Jabra headsets. To preserve and store rechargeable batteries, use the following guidelines:
If you handle or store rechargeable batteries incorrectly, their lifetime may be reduced.
