  • How to connect my Jabra PRO 92x with Cisco 7942 G, 7945 G, 7962 G, 7965 G, 7975 G

    Prerequisite:

    Jabra PRO 92x + Jabra LINK 14201-16

    In combination with one of the following phones:

    • Cisco 7942 G
    • Cisco 7945 G
    • Cisco 7962 G
    • Cisco 7965 G
    • Cisco 7975 G

    System:

    Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM)

    Cisco Call Manager Express (CME) from version 4.1 and phone firmware 8.3.3. When downloading (Cisco) the required IOC version will be marked.

    Remote Call Control is also possible in combination with the expansion modules 7915 and 7916.

    Important: The following prerequisites must be met in order to use the remote call control:

    Voip-phones SCCP (Cisco protocols) require the phone firmware 8.3(3) and the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), from release 3.3, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0.

    SIP phones require the phone firmware 8.3(3) and the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) from release 5.0, 5.1, 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0.

     

    Connection:

    1. Take the supplied RJ10 to RJ10 connection cable and insert it into the “headset” interface of your Cisco phone and the other end into the socket marked with the “phone” symbol on the Jabra PRO 92x.
    2. Connect the EHS adapter to the "AUX" socket of your Cisco phone and the "AUX" interface of your base.

    Now you can setup the headset for your phone with the automatic configuration or "manually".

     

    Automatic configuration:

    To start the automatic configuration, please let someone call you on this phone; wait at least 10 seconds before you pick up the phone. Now the appropriate EHS mode should be set up.

    If the automatic configuration did not work, please manually select the DHSG mode. See User Manual for instructions.

    Base setup:

     

    Set the phone setup switch to position "B".

     

    Microphone volume setup:


    Put on the headset and call a colleague, for example.
    Now you can select the desired microphone volume using the +/- button.

     

     

    Communication Manager setup:


    Under "Phones", "Wireless Headset Hookswitch Control" ”answer/end” must be enabled for each terminal phone.

    Under the "Phones" option, the "Wireless Headset Hookswitch Control" ”answer/end” must be enabled for each terminal phone.

      System:

      • Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM)
      • Cisco Call Manager Express (CME) from version 4.1 and phone firmware 8.3.3. You will be informed of the required IOC version when downloading (Cisco).

      (Remote call control is also possible In combination with the expansion modules 7915 and 7916)

      Important: The following requirements must be fulfilled to be able to use remote call control:

      1. Insert the RJ10 to RJ10 connection cable supplied with the GN912x into the " headset" interface on your Cisco phone and the other end into the socket identified with the “phone” symbol on the GN912x base.
      2. Connect the HHC adapter with the "AUX" socket on your Cisco phone and the "AUX" interface on your GN912x base.

      EHS setup:

      The Jabra GN912x must be set up to DHSG EHS.

      You can check or set it as follows.

      1. Place the headset on the base.
      2. Then press the PLUS and MINUS buttons simultaneously for approx. 6 seconds until the online display on the headset starts to flash.
      3. The base will now display to you the EHS currently installed. The online light indicates "MSH", the pulsating light indicates "RHL", the MUTE light "DHSG" and the battery display "AEI".

      4. With the PLUS and MINUS buttons, you can now switch into the different EHS types.
      5. To confirm the EHS has successfully installed, the phone automatically switches back to charge mode after approx. 10 seconds.

      Base setup:

      The adjustment controller (small wheel) on the base must be set to "B".

       

      Microphone level setup:

      1. Please call someone with the headset.
      2. Should the person you are calling understand you only with difficulty or you are too quiet, you must press the PLUS and MINUS buttons simultaneously which then immediately produces a signal tone.
      3. You can now increase the microphone volume with the PLUS or decrease it with MINUS .

      4. To confirm, after approx. 10 seconds a low signal tone sounds in the background. The settings are then automatically saved.

      Communication Manager setup:

      You must go into Call Manager and enable Wireless Headset Hookswitch control for each extension.  On the phone, go to settings> device config.> media config.> enable headset & also headset hookswitch.  [The default is disabled.]

      2. Connect the HHC adapter to the "AUX" socket of your Cisco phone and the "AUX" interface of your GN9330e base.

       

      Software setup:

      Put the headset into the base and activate the “DHSG” mode.

      Hold down the “phone” button on the base of the Jabra GN9330e for approx. 6 seconds until the online display (blue LED) on the headset starts to flash. The current software is displayed to you by activating the volume controller in the form of the charge display (green LED).

      LEDs from left to right:

      LED 1 = RHL
      LED 2 = DHSG
      LED 3 = AEI
      LED 4 = MSH

      Thereafter, you can switch into the different software modes (LED 1-4) with the “volume” controller on the headset. To confirm the software has successfully installed, the base automatically switches back to charge mode after approx. 15 seconds.

       

      Base setup:

      Set the phone setup switch (A-G) to "B".

       

       

      Headset answer/end:

      As soon as the dial tone signal can be heard in the headset, you can answer the call by pressing the “”answer/end”” button on the headset; by pressing again the call is ended.

       

       

      Communication Manager setup:


      Under the option "Phones", the "Wireless Headset Hookswitch Control" ”answer/end” must be enabled for each terminal phone.
