  • How to connect my Jabra GN9350e with Cisco 8961, 9951, 9971

    Prerequisite:

    Jabra GN9350e + Jabra LINK 14201-30 (from FW 2.2.0)

    In combination with one of the following phones:

    • Cisco 8961 / 9951 / 9971

    Important: The following prerequisites must be met in order to use the remote call control:

    • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) from release 7.1 (3a) SU1 or higher and phone firmware 9.0 (3) or higher.
    • Cisco Call Manager Express from version 4.1 and phone firmware 9.0(3) When downloading (Cisco) the required IOC version will be marked.

     

    Connection:

    1. Connect the 1-sided end (USB plug) of the EHS adapter to the USB socket of your phone.
    2. Plug the RJ10 plug into the socket marked with the “phone” symbol and the RJ45 plug into the base socket marked with "AUX".

     

    Software setup:

    In the LCD Display, set the Jabra GN9350 to "DHSG" and press the OK button.

     

     

    Base setup:

    Set the phone setup switch (A-G) to "A".

     

     

    Microphone level setup:

    We recommend setting the microphone volume in the LCD display to 7 out of 12.

     

     

    Headset answer/end:

    As soon as the dial tone signal can be heard in the headset, you can answer the call by pressing the ”answer/end” button on the headset; by pressing again the call is ended.

     

    Communication Manager setup:


    Under the tab "Wideband Headset UC Control", the option "Enabled" must be selected for each terminal phone.

     

    In the tab "Enable/Disable USB Classes" you must select the option "Audio Class" for the Jabra Gn93x0 series.

    In combination with the Jabra PRO 94x0 and Jabra GO 6470 series, you must select "Human Interface Phone".

    • How to connect my Jabra GN9120 EHS / GN9125 EHS with Cisco 8961, 9951, 9971

      Prerequisite:

      Jabra GN9120 EHS + Jabra LINK 14201-30 (from FW 2.2.0)
      Jabra GN 9125 EHS + Jabra LINK 14201-30 (from FW 2.2.0)

      In combination with one of the following phones:

      • Cisco 8961 / 9951 / 9971

      Important: The following requirements must be fulfilled to be able to use Remote call control:

      • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) from release 7.1(3a) SU1, and phone firmware 9.0(3) or higher.
      • Cisco Call Manager Express from version 4.1 and phone firmware 9.0(3). You will be informed of the IOC version required when downloading (Cisco).

       

      Connection:

      1. Connect the 1-sided end (USB plug) of the EHS adapter with the USB socket of your phone .
      2. Connect the split end of the EHS adapter which is supplied with the GN912x base. Insert the RJ10 plug into the socket identified with the “phone” symbol and the RJ45 plug into the socket identified with "AUX" on the base.

       

      EHS setup:

      The Jabra GN912x must support and be setup to DHSG EHS.


      You can check or set it as follows:

      1. Place the headset on the base.
      2. Then press the PLUS and MINUS buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds until the online display on the headset starts to flash.
      3. The base will now display to you the EHS currently installed. The online light indicates "MSH", the pulsating light indicates "RHL", the MUTE light "DHSG" and the battery display "AEI".

      4. With the PLUS or MINUS buttons, you can now switch between the different EHS types.
      5. To confirm the EHS has successfully installed, the phone automatically switches back to charge mode after 10 seconds

       

      Base setup:

      The adjustment controller (small wheel) on the base must be set to A".

       

       

      Microphone level setup:

      1. Please call someone with the headset.
      2. You must now simultaneously press the PLUS and MINUS buttons on the headset which immediately produces a signal tone.
      3. You can now increase the microphone volume with PLUS or decrease the volume with MINUS.

      4. To confirm, a low signal tone sounds in the background after 10 seconds. The settings are then automatically saved.

       

      Communication Manager setup:

      Under the tab "Wideband Headset UC Control", the option "Enabled" must be selected for each terminal.

      From CUCMA (cisco unified communications manager admin):

      Device>Phone>Enable/Disable USB>Highlight Audio Class>Check Override>Save

      Reboot 9971 for settings to take effect.  Phone LCD screen should read: The Jabra Link 30 is now connected.  Confirm by going to Setup>Accessories in the phone.  You should see the Jabra Link 30 as a Device Type: Peripheral/ Device Class: Audio/Configured: Yes

    • How to connect my Jabra GN9330e with Cisco 8961, 9951, 9971

      Prerequisite:

      Jabra GN9330e + Jabra LINK 14201-30 (from FW 2.2.0)

      In combination with one of the following phones:

      • Cisco 8961 / 9951 / 9971

       

      Important: Please note that remote call control for the Jabra GN9330e (Jabra product no. 9337-508-401) is supported from version "L" or the Date code 9/09.

      Important: The following prerequisites must be met in order to use remote call control:

      Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) from release 7.1 (3a) SU1 or higher, and phone firmware 9.0 (3) or higher.

      Cisco Call Manager Express from version 4.1 and phone firmware 9.0(3) When downloading (Cisco) the required IOC version will be marked.

       

      Connection:

      1. Connect the 1-sidedend (USB plug) of the EHS adapter to the USB socket of your phone set.
      2. Insert the RJ10 plug into the socket marked with a “phone” symbol and the RJ45 plug into the socket marked with "AUX" on the base.

       

      Software setup:

      Put the headset into the base and activate “DHSG” mode.

      Hold down the “phone” button on the base of the Jabra GN9330e for approx. 6 seconds until the online display (blue LED) on the headset starts to flash. The current software is displayed to you by activating the volume controller in the form of the charge display (green LED).

      LEDs from left to right:

      LED 1 = RHL
      LED 2 = DHSG
      LED 3 = AEI
      LED 4 = MSH

      Thereafter, you can switch into the different software modes (LED 1-4) with the “volume” controller on the headset. To confirm the software has successfully installed, the base automatically switches back to charge mode after approx. 15 seconds.

       

      Base setup:

      Set the phone setup switch (A-G) to "A".

       

       

      Microphone level setup:

      Please call someone with the headset.

      If the other party cannot hear you well or just faintly, activate the volume controller at the base until you can be understood clearly.

       

      Headset answer/end:

      As soon as the dial tone signal can be heard in the headset, you can answer the call by pressing the ”answer/end”  button on the headset; by pressing again the call is ended.

       

       

      Setup required in Communication Manager:


      Under the tab "Wideband Headset UC Control", the option "Enabled” must be selected for each terminal phone.

       

      Under the tab "Enable/Disable USB Classes" you must select the option "Audio Class" for the Jabra GN93x0 series.

      Connection:

      Now you can setup the headset for your phone with the automatic configuration or manually.

       

      Automatic configuration:

      To start the automatic configuration, please let someone call you on this phone; wait at least 10 seconds before you pick up the phone. Now the appropriate EHS mode should be set up.

      If the automatic configuration does not work, please select the DHSG mode manually. See manual for instructions.

       

      Base setup:

      Set the phone setup switch to position "A".


      Microphone volume setup:



      Put on the headset and call a colleague, for example.
      Now you can select the desired microphone volume using the +/- button.

       

      Communication Manager:

      Under the tab "Wideband Headset UC Control", the "Enabled” option must be selected for each terminal phone.

       

      Under the tab "Enable/Disable USB Classes" you must select the option "Audio Class" for the Jabra GN93x0 series.

      In combination with one of the following phones:

      • Cisco 8961 / 9951 / 9971

      Important: The following requirements must be fulfilled to be able to use remote call control:

      • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) from release 7.1(3a) SU1 or higher.
      • Cisco Call Manager Express from version 4.1 and phone firmware 8.3.3. You will be informed of the required IOC version when downloading (Cisco).

        

      Connection:

      1. Connect the 1-sided end (USB plug) of the EHS adapter to the USB socket on your phone.
      2. Insert the RJ10 plug into the socket marked with a “phone” symbol and the RJ45 plug into the socket marked with "AUX" on the base.

      You now have the option of setting up the headset on your phone via the automatic or manual configuration.

       

      Automatic configuration:

      To start the automatic configuration, have someone call this phone and wait at least 10 seconds before taking the call. The appropriate EHS mode should now be installed.

      If the automatic configuration has not worked, please select IQ mode manually.

       

      Base setup:

      Set the phone set-up switch to position "A".

       

       

      Microphone level setup:

      Remove the cover from the base of the Jabra PRO 9450 and make a call with the headset, to a colleague for example. If you are too loud or too quiet to the person you are calling, please use the volume adjuster until you achieve the optimum volume level.

       

       

      Communication Manager setup:

      Under the tab "Wideband Headset UC Control", the "Enabled" option must be selected for each terminal.


      You must select the "Human Interface Phone" In combination with the Jabra PRO 9450.


      Under the tab "Enable/Disable USB Classes", you must select the "Audio Class" option for the Jabra GN93x0 series.

      In combination with one of the following phones:

      Important:
      The following requirements need to be fulfilled to use the remote call control:
      Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) from release 7.1(3a) SU1 and phone firmware 9.0(3) or higher
      Cisco Call Manager Express from Version 4.1 and phone firmware 9.0(3). You will be informed about the required IOC version during the download (Cisco).

      Connection:
      Connect the 1-ended side (USB connector) of the EHS adapter to the USB port on your phone device.
      Connect the split end of the EHS adapter to the Jabra PRO 94x0 or Jabra GO 6470 base. Plug the RJ10 connector into the socket marked with a ”phone” symbol and the RJ45 connector into the socket marked "AUX" on the base.

      Base setup

      Then follow the instructions on the Jabra PRO 94x0 or Jabra GO 6470 base SmartSetup Wizard.
       

      Select the phone setting “Desk phone”, then “Connect to a desk phone”, “Manual”.


      Select adapter type "IQ"


      Set the phone set-up switch to position "A".

      Microphone level setup:



      We recommend setting the microphone volume to 7 out of 13.

      Guided setup:

      As a part of the installation, you can dial into your local Jabra Setup server, which will configure the audio path. Please follow the instructions shown on the display. If your Jabra Setup Server is unavailable, please contact your local Jabra Support team.

      Communication Manager setup:

      Under the tab "Wideband Headset UI Control", the "Enabled" option must be selected for each terminal.



      You must select the "Human Interface Phone" In combination with the Jabra PRO 9460 / 9465 / 9470 or Jabra GO 6470.


      Under the tab "Enable/Disable USB Classes", you must select the "Audio Class" option for the Jabra GN93x0 series.
