  • I experience some instability when using my Jabra GN9120-481-11 + Jabra LINK 14201-32 on an Avaya/Nortel IP1120 phone. The phone is in USB mode and the headset is in DHSG mode.

    ​To address the instability issue please update the firmware for the Jabra LINK 14201-32 to firmware version 2.2.0 or higher.

  • How to connect Jabra my GN9330e with Nortel IP 1120E, 1140E, 1150E, 1165E

    Prerequisite:

    Jabra GN9330e + Jabra LINK 14201-32

    In combination with one of the following phones:

    • Nortel IP 1120E
    • Nortel IP 1140E
    • Nortel IP 1150E
    • Nortel IP 1165E

    from Firmware release 3.1 for IP phones

     

    Connection:

    1.  Connect the 1-sided end (USB plug) of the EHS adapter to the USB socket of your phone set.
    2.  Plug the RJ10 plug into the socket marked with a “phone” symbol and the RJ45 plug into the socket marked with "AUX" on the base.

     

    Software setup:

    Put the headset into the base and activate “DHSG” mode.

    Hold down the “phone” button on the base of the Jabra GN9330e for approx. 6 seconds until the online display (blue LED) on the headset starts to flash. The current software is displayed to you by activating the volume controller in the form of the charge display (yellow LED).

    LEDs from left to right:

    LED 1 = RHL
    LED 2 = DHSG
    LED 3 = AEI
    LED 4 = MSH

    Thereafter, you can switch into the different software modes (LED 1-4) with the “volume” controller on the headset. To confirm the software has successfully installed, the base automatically switches back to charge mode after approx. 15 seconds.

     

    Base setup:

    Set the phone setup switch (A-G) to "A".

     

     

    Microphone level setup:

    Please call someone with the headset.

    If the other party cannot hear you well or just faintly, activate the volume controller at the base until you can be understood clearly.

     

    Headset answer/end:

    As soon as the dial tone signal can be heard in the headset, you can answer the call by pressing the ”answer/end” button on the headset; by pressing again the call is ended.

     

    Phone setup:

    Press the "Service" button twice > Preset >Headsets > USB 

    In addition, you must activate the menu option "Enable HID Commands", see below.

    • How to connect Jabra my GN9330e with Nortel IP 1120E, 1140E, 1150E, 1165E

      Prerequisite:

      In combination with one of the following phones:

      Connection:

      1.  Connect the 1-sided end (USB plug) of the EHS adapter to the USB socket of your phone set.
      2.  Plug the RJ10 plug into the socket marked with a “phone” symbol and the RJ45 plug into the socket marked with "AUX" on the base.

       

      Software setup:

      Put the headset into the base and activate “DHSG” mode.

    • How to connect my Jabra GN9120 EHS / GN9125 EHS with Nortel IP 1120E, 1140E, 1150E, 1165E

      Prerequisite:

      Jabra GN9120 EHS + Jabra LINK 14201-32 (from FW 2.2.0)
      Jabra GN9125 EHS + Jabra LINK 14201-32 (from FW 2.2.0)

      In combination with one of the following phones:

      • Nortel IP 1120E
      • Nortel IP 1140E
      • Nortel IP 1150E

      There is a minimum revision level (UNIStim 5.2) needed when using our EHS adapter on Nortel 1140e with CS2100 server. The CS1000 is OK with 3.1 or greater. It can be downloaded from http://support.nortel.com.

       

      Connection:

      1. Connect the 1-sided end (USB plug) of the EHS adapter with the USB socket on your phone phone.
      2. Insert the RJ10 plug into the socket identified with the “phone” symbol and the RJ45 plug into the socket identified with "AUX" on the base.

       

      EHS setup:

      The Jabra GN912x must support and be set up on DHSG EHS.

      Proceed as follows to check the EHS installed:

      1. Place the headset on the base and press the PLUS and MINUS buttons simultaneously for approx. 6 seconds until the online display on the headset starts to flash.
      2. The base will now display to you the EHS currently installed. The online light indicates "MSH", the pulsating light indicates "RHL", the MUTE light "DHSG" and the battery display "AEI".

      3. With the PLUS or MINUS buttons, you can now switch between the different EHS types.
      4. To confirm the EHS has successfully installed, the base automatically switches back to charge mode after approx. 10 seconds.

       

      Base setup:

      Set the phone set-up switch (A-G) to "A".

       

      Microphone level setup:

      1. To do this, please call someone with the headset.
      2. You must now simultaneously press the PLUS and MINUS buttons on the headset which immediately produces a signal tone.

      3. You can now increase the microphone volume with the PLUS or decrease it with MINUS.
      4. To confirm, after approx. 5 seconds a low signal tone sounds in the headset. The settings are then automatically saved.

       

      Phone setup:

       

      You must enable Headset option on the telephone.   Services /Telephone Options / On Hook Default Audio Path / Headset Enabled. When phone is idle, customer must press "Services" button  twice quickly. Then there will be one of two options: If they see "password", enter default: "26567*738" then follow the below info. If they see "Preferences", then they choose "3" for headset/active headset device and select "USB". Be sure "HID commands" is enabled. Press "apply" to save the settings.  Also be sure phones (idle & active) ring settings are set to "default".

      Connection

      1. Connect the 1-sidedend (USB plug) of the EHS adapter to the USB socket of your phone set.
      2. Connect the split end of the EHS adapter to the Jabra GN9350e base as follows. Plug the RJ10 plug into the socket marked with the “phone” symbol and the RJ45 plug into the base socket marked with "AUX".

       

      Software setup:

      In the LCD Display, set the Jabra GN9350 to "DHSG" and press the OK button.

       

       


      Base setup:

      Set the phone setup switch (A-G) to "A".

       

      Microphone level setup:

      We recommend setting the microphone volume in the LCD display to 7 out of 12.

       

       

      Headset answer/end:

      As soon as the dial tone signal can be heard in the headset, you can answer the call by pressing the "answer/end” button" on the headset; by pressing again the call is ended.

       

       

      Phone setup:

      Press the "Service button" twice > Preset >Headsets > USB

      In addition, you must activate the menu option "Enable HID Commands", see below.

      Prerequisite:

      Jabra PRO 92x + Jabra LINK 14201-32

      In combination with one of the following phones:

      • Nortel IP 1120E
      • Nortel IP 1140E
      • Nortel IP 1150E
      • Nortel IP 1165E

      from Firmware release 3.1 for IP phones.

       

      Connection:

      1. Connect the 1-sided end (USB plug) of the EHS adapter to the USB socket of your phone.
      2. Plug the RJ10 plug into the socket marked with the “phone” symbol and the RJ45 plug into the base socket marked with "AUX".

      Now you can setup the headset for your phone with the automatic or manual configuration.

       

      Automatic configuration:

      To start the automatic configuration, please let someone call you on this phone; wait at least 10 seconds before you pick up the phone. Now the appropriate EHS mode should be set up.

      If the automatic configuration did not work, please manually select the DHSG mode. See User Manual for instructions.

      Base setup:

      Set the phone setup switch to position "A".

       

      Microphone volume setup:


      Put on the headset and call a colleague.
      Now you can select the desired microphone volume using the +/- button.

       

      Phone setup:

      Press the "Service button" twice > Preset >Headsets > USB

      In addition, you must activate the menu option "Enable HID Commands", see below.

      from firmware release 3.1 for IP phones.

       

      Connection:

      1. Connect the 1-sided end (USB plug) of the EHS adapter with the USB socket on your phone phone.
      2. Insert the RJ10 plug into the socket marked with a “phone” symbol and the RJ45 plug into the socket marked with "AUX" on the base.

      You now have the option of setting up the headset on your phone via the automatic or manual configuration.

       

      Automatic configuration:

      To start the automatic configuration, have someone call this phone and wait at least 10 seconds before taking the call. The appropriate EHS mode should now be installed.

      If the automatic configuration has not worked, please select DHSG mode manually.

      Base setup:

      Set the phone set-up switch to position "A".

       

       

      Microphone level setup:

      Remove the cover from the base of the Jabra PRO 9450 and make a call with the headset, to a colleague for example. If you are too loud or too quiet to the person you are calling, please use the volume adjuster until you achieve the optimum volume level.

       

      Phone setup:

      Press the "service" button  twice > Default settings > Headsets > USB

      In the menu, you must also activate the "Enable HID Commands" option. See below.

      Prerequisite:

      Jabra PRO 9460 / 9465 / 9470 + Jabra LINK 14201-32

      In combination with one of the following phones:

      Connection:

      1. Connect the 1-sided end (USB plug) of the EHS adapter to the USB socket of your desk phone.
      2. Connect the split end of the EHS adapter to the Jabra PRO 9400 base as follows. Plug the RJ10 plug into the socket marked with a “phone” symbol and the RJ45 plug into the base socket marked with "AUX".

       

      Setting up the base:

      Then follow the instructions on the Jabra PRO 94x0 base SmartSetup Wizard.

          

      Select phone settings, "Desk phone", then "Connect to a desk phone?”, "Manual".

       

      Select Adapter Type "DHSG"

      Base setup:


      Set the phone setup switch to position "A".

       

      Microphone volume setup:

      We recommend setting the microphone volume to 7 out of 13.

       

      Guided set-up:

      As part of the installation you can dial into the local Jabra Setup server that takes care of configuring audio path. Please follow the instructions shown on the display. In the event your Jabra Setup Server is not reachable, please contact your local Jabra Support team.

       

      Phone setup:

      Press the "Service" button twice > Preset >Headsets > USB.

      In addition you must activate the menu option "Enable HID Commands". See below.
