  • I cannot answer/end call via the in-line call control buttons

    1. In this section options for specific devices are shown

      • Soft Phone

        1. Check that your settings in your soft phone is set up to handle the Jabra headset and supports answer/end functionality

          Answer/end functionality is supported on selected soft phones. If you are not sure if your soft phone is supported or you do not know how to set this up, please contact the relevant people responsible for the telephony within your company.
  • I have distorted speaker sound

    1. This could be because the speaker volume setting is too high

      Adjust the volume accordingly down on your mobile phone or softphone and/or on the in-line call control, until your find a lower, but better setting. CUSB_9.JPG
  • I have no sound at all in my headset

    1. Show options for my device type

      • Soft Phone

        1. Always connect your Jabra USB headset directly into the computer

          If it still does not work, try another(direct) USB port in the PC.

          Do not connect via a USB HUB or similar.

        2. Check the soft phone audio settings and make sure that the headset is choosen as default sound device

        3. Check the soft phone speaker volume setting and make sure it is not muted or turned all the way down

        4. Check your Windows Sound Control Panel audio settings and make sure that the headset is choosen as default sound device

        5. Check that your PC speaker mute button is not muted

      • Mobile Phone

        1. Check that Bluetooth is activated on the mobile phone, and there is an active connection between the in-line call control panel and the mobile phone

  • I have trouble hearing people

    1. Turn up the speaker volume on the in-line call control button

  • Is it possible to use my Jabra corded headset on two PCs at the same time using the Jabra LINK 280?

    ​Yes, it is possible. To do this you need to connect your Jabra headset via Jabra LINK 280 plugged directly into a USB slot on one PC. You can then use the Jabra LINK 350 plugged into the second PC and pair it to the Jabra LINK 280 using a Bluetooth connection.

  • My Jabra LINK 280 seems to be unstable on Windows 7 PC when used with Microsoft OC/Lync.

    ​This may be due to the fact that the Microsoft OC / Lync server is out of disk space. Please consult with your local IT organization or IT supplier.

  • How do I set my Jabra headset as the default headset in Cisco Jabber?

    If using Cisco Jabber below version 9.6, Jabra software is needed to have call control.

    Cisco needs to be selected as the default Softphone in the Jabra software.
    Choose either Cisco or Standard softphone.

    It is recommended to install Jabra software after the Cisco Jabber client is installed.

    1. Install Jabra software.
    2. Open Cisco Jabber.
    3. Click on File and choose Options.


    4. Click on Audio.

    5. Set the Jabra headset as the default audio device for Speaker, Microphone and Ringer/Alerts. Click Apply and OK.

    1. Skype must be closed before installing Jabra Direct.
    2. Install Jabra Direct.
    3. Open Jabra Direct.
    4. Click on Settings.

     

    5. Scroll down and expand the Softphone (PC) button.
    6. In Preferred softphone dropdown menu, choose Skype and click Apply.

     

    7. Startup Skype.
    8. Select Tools and choose Options.



    9. Under General, select the Audio settings option.
    10. For each of the three settings (Microphone, Speakers and Ringing), select the desired Jabra device from the dropdown menu.



    11. When done, click Save.
    12. Jabra Direct should state the Jabra device and Skype is ready for use.

      To change to Cisco IP Communicator manually, please follow these steps:

      1. Cisco IP Communicator must be closed before installing Jabra Direct.
      2. Install Jabra Direct.
      3. Open Jabra Direct.
      4. Click on Settings.



      5. Scroll down and expand the Softphone (PC) button.
      6. In Preferred softphone dropdown menu, choose Cisco IP Communicator and click Apply.



      7. Startup Cisco IP Communicator.
      8. Select the Menu button and choose Audio Tuning Wizard.





      9. To start the wizard, click Next.



      10. For each of the four audio settings (Headset, Speakerphone, Handset and Ringer), select the desired Jabra device from the dropdown menu.



      11. To test the listening volume, click Play.



      12. To test the microphone volume, click Test.



      13. When done, click Finish.



      14. Jabra Direct should state the Jabra device and Cisco IP Communicator is ready for use.

      1. Avaya One-X Communicator must be closed before installing Jabra Direct.

      3. Open Jabra Direct.

      6. In Preferred softphone dropdown menu, choose Avaya one-x/Aura Agent Desktop and click Apply.



      7. Startup Avaya One-X Communicator.
      8. Select Settings and then General Settings.





      9. Under Devices and Services, select Audio.
          9a. Under Microphone, select the desired Jabra device from the dropdown menu.
          9b. Under Speaker, select the desired Jabra device from the dropdown menu.



      10. When done, click OK.

    • How do I make my softphone the preferred softphone in Jabra Direct?

      Requirements

      Before setting a preferred softphone in Jabra Direct make sure it is supported by Jabra Direct.

      Please follow these steps:

      1. Open Jabra Direct.
      2. Click on Settings.

       

      3. Scroll down and expand the Softphone (PC) button.
      4. In Preferred softphone, choose your preferred softphone.



      5. Click Apply.

      Note: If using a Jabra PRO 9470, Jabra PRO 9465, Jabra PRO 9460, Jabra GO 6470, Jabra Dial 550 or Jabra Motion Office the preferred softphone selected in Jabra Direct will overrule the selected softphone on the device itself.

    • Why is it important to update headset firmware?

      Requirements

      Firmware updates usually improve performance and sometimes add new functionality to your device.
      For some Jabra Link EHS adapters you need a micro USB cable to connect the adapter to the PC.

      To check for new firmware, please follow these steps:

      1. Open Jabra Direct.
      2. If a firmware update is available for your Jabra device, this will be indicated on the main screen.



      3. To update or to manually check for new firmware click on the Firmware Updater icon.



      4. The Jabra Direct Firmware Updater will open in a new window.
      5. Select your device and click on the Next button.



      Note: To update devices like e.g. Jabra Motion or Jabra Stealth they need to be connected directly to the PC with a USB cable.

      6. Click on the Download button, and when the download is done click on the Next button.



      7. Follow the on-screen instructions. Do not unplug your device while preforming a firmware update.

      Note: If using a Jabra USB dongle with your device e.g. Jabra Motion UC or Jabra Stealth UC it is recommended to update both the headset and dongle at the same time. The PC must be connected to the internet to download the latest firmware.
