    • How do I transfer my call from Microsoft Lync 2013 to my mobile phone?

      When on a call, follow this simple guide.

      Note! Your Lync client needs to support outgoing calls for this feature to work.
      Make sure the headset is connected through Bluetooth to your mobile phone


      1. Mouse over the phone button


      2. Click on Transfer Call


      A. Click on Mobile under “My Numbers” to transfer the call to the Mobile number attached to your Lync account


      B. Or, if your mobile number is not entered in Lync, click on Another Person or Number under “Other Options”


      Type the number click on OK


      4. Accept the incoming call on your mobile phone.

    • Why do I receive battery and connection status in the headset when tapping the Call button for an outgoing call?

      Tapping the Call button will provide the battery and connection status.
      To open the line for an outgoing call when connected to a desk phone or Softphone press the Call button for approximately 2 seconds, then the line will open.
      To end the call, simply Tap the Call button.

    • How do I choose which softphone will be used by the headset if I have both Microsoft Lync and Cisco IP Communicator installed?

      It is possible to receive calls on either or both softphones, but to place a new call you need to select a preferred softphone.  You can do this with Jabra PC Suite:

      Please follow these steps:

      1.    Open Jabra Control Center
      2.    Under the View menu, select Advanced View

       

      3.    Click on the Softphone tab
      4.    Choose the preferred softphone for outgoing calls (choose Softphones supported by Jabra PC Suite to select the Cisco IP Communicator softphone or Microsoft to select Lync as your preferred softphone)

      If the headset has been in Power Nap mode for more than 24 hours, the headset will
      automatically power off to preserve battery.
      To turn the headset on, simply close the flip boom-arm and open it again.

      Yes.  Hot-desking is the ability to connect any Jabra Motion headset with any Jabra Motion base.

      To connect any Jabra Motion headset to the Jabra Motion Office base please follow these steps:

      1. Plug the new headset into the dock and wait a few seconds.  Accept the new connection when prompted on the touchscreen.



      2. The new headset is now connected to the base.  To connect a different headset, simply repeat the procedure.

    • How can I use PBAP (Phone Book Access Profile) with my Jabra Motion?

      The PBAP profile allows you to hear the name of the person calling announced in the headset.

      This feature is phone dependent, and you will need to allow the headset access to the phonebook during pairing. During pairing you will be prompted to allow the headset access to your phonebook.

      If access has been denied, simply reconnect the headset to your mobile device and allow access.

    • How do I pair up my Jabra NFC headset with Windows Mobile Phone 8?

      1. Go to Settings on your Windows Phone

      2. Go to the Tap + Send menu

      3. Switch it from Off to On


      4. Your NFC (Tap + Send) is now turned on and is ready to be used

      5. Turn your Jabra device on.

      6. To pair your phone with a Jabra device, touch the NFC area of your phone with the NFC area of your headset. The devices will pair up successfully.  Remember to accept pairing on your phone if prompted.

      Note that the NFC areas on Jabra headsets may vary from device to device. Please check your user manual to find your device NFC area.

      Jabra Link 14201-17.
      Jabra 8800-00-75 for Polycom IP 320, IP 321, IP 330 or IP 331 only.

      In combination with one of the following phones
      SoundPoint IP phones running SIP software v 3.0 or later and BootROM 4.1.0 or later.
      Polycom IP 321, IP 331 running SIP software v3.1.2 rev. C or later.

      3. Connect the headset’s RJ-9 connector to the Jabra device base marked with a Phone icon and the other end on the back of the phone marked with a Headset icon (use cord 8800-00-75 for SoundPoint IP phone models 320, 321, 330 or 331)

       

      Automatic configuration

      1. Remove the lid.



      2. Set the phone set-up switch to position A



      3. Have someone call this phone and wait at least 10 seconds before answering. The appropriate EHS mode will be set automatically.
      4. Place a test call to a colleague and set the volume adjustment appropriately for your microphone audio level.

      Yes, the Jabra Motion accepts voice commands, offering easy access to the most commonly used features.

      To use voice commands, tap the Voice and Mute microphone when not on a call until you hear 'Say a command'.

      This is the list of voice commands:

      Answer                     Answer an incoming call
      Ignore                      Reject an incoming call
      Pair new device        Enter pairing mode to begin connecting to a new mobile device

    • How do I pair a new Bluetooth headset/device to my Jabra LINK 360?

      1. Remove the Jabra LINK 360 adapter from PC.
      2. Put the headset/device you want to be paired with the Jabra LINK 360 into pairing mode.
      3. Put the Jabra LINK 360 back into the PC to begin pairing automatically. It can take up to 1 minute to pair. If pairing fails, please retry these 3 steps.  

      The Jabra Link 360 is used together with selected Jabra Bluetooth headsets such as Jabra Supreme and Jabra Motion.

    • Why can´t I pair my Jabra headset with the Jabra LINK 360 Nano Bluetooth USB adapter?

      Make sure that the Jabra Link 360 Nano Bluetooth USB adapter is in pairing mode, indicated by a flashing blue light. Make sure that the headset is charged and in pairing mode. See the instructions in the headset manual. If this does not solve the problem, install the Jabra PC Suite software and get access to advanced features, e.g. clearing of the pairing list.

    • How do I make my softphone default in Jabra PC Suite?

      To get full call control you must have the latest version of Jabra PC Suite installed.

      Download and install Jabra PC Suite 

      1. Open Jabra PC Suite.

      2. Click on the Softphone (PC) tab.

      3. Make sure your screen is in Advanced View.

      4. Select the appropriate softphone from the list under Target Softphone for Outoing Calls.

      5. Click Apply.


      3. Under softphone/vendor name choose the softphone that applies to you.


      4. Click Apply and then OK

    • Rechargeable battery best practice

      This is the best practice for rechargeable batteries in general and is not related specifically to Jabra headsets, but to the technology itself. Below are examples of how to preserve and store a rechargeable battery to help ensure a long battery life. 

      • Avoid placement in direct sunlight
      • Avoid placement in extreme cold
      • Batteries should not be stored for extended periods without being recharged, we recommend to charge it every 3 months for most products
      • In daily use, it is best to return the headset to the charging base when not in use
      • HD Voice/Wideband consumes slightly more battery than Narrowband
      • Always return headset to charging base overnight

      If you handle or store your rechargeable battery incorrectly, its lifetime may be reduced.

    • Are Jabra headsets safe to use?

      Yes, it is safe to use Jabra headsets. All Jabra headsets feature PeakStop™ technology, which protects against sudden loud sound spikes. Many acoustic experts define acoustic shock as being exposed to a sound of over 135 dBSPL, but even lower sounds can damage the hearing. Therefore all Jabra headsets cut off sounds at 118 dBSPL (RMS).

      NFC is the abbreviation for Near Field Communication, which is a set of standards used by Jabra to
      establish radio communication between headsets and phones at a distance of no more than few centimeters.

      You can pair and listen to music over Bluetooth by tapping your devices together. Your mobile device
      need to have the NFC functionality and this has to be enabled.

    • Why is it important to update headset firmware?

      Firmware updates usually improve performance and sometimes add new functionalities to your device. To update the firmware:
      Launch Jabra Firmware Updater installed with Jabra PC Suite, and follow the Firmware Updater wizard.
      You can also check for updates via Jabra Control Center > Help > Check for Updates.
