Is there anything for this solution which can influence Jabra GN8210 in bad way that IntelliTone via DSP-function is not working as it should do? For example if you do settings for IntelliTone in the Jabra PC Suite ......
Connecting Jabra GN8210 to PC via Jabra LINK 220 USB adapter should not have any bad influence on Jabra GN8210 theoretically. Jabra BIZ 2400 USB offers basic protection against peak spikes and Intellitone™ settings of the noise exposure control.
In general, all acoustic protections will be handled by Jabra LINK 220 and it is not required to have Jabra GN8210 in this case.
Jabra LINK 220 version provides 4 different audio protections:
• Level 0 is basic protection against peak spikes based on PeakStop™ technology, which protects users from harmful sound spikes and other loud noises over 118 dB SPL (RMS) or 122 dB SPL max peak value.
• Level 1 providing less than 4 hours talk time a day
• Level 2 providing 4-8 hours talk time a day
• Level 3 providing more than 8 hours talk time a day (Noise at Work Compliancy)
Solution to connect Jabra GN8210 to PC via Jabra LINK 220 USB adapter is OK to use, but it is not necessary to use 2 acoustic protection systems (because it gives same protection as can be obtained with just one system). If you decide to use this combination, solution shall be tested.
