How do I open the audio path for the softphone?

When the Jabra Engage 65 is docked, icons for your connected devices will appear in the display on the base. The default target device will have a bright white LED under the icon.

To open the audio path for the softphone, use the appropriate procedure for your setup.

Desk phone is set as your default phone

1. Dock the headset on the base.
2. There will be a bright white LED under the desk phone icon and a dim white LED under the computer icon.
3. When you lift the headset off the base, the white LED under the desk phone icon will turn green.
4. Press the Call button on the headset to close the audio path. The LED under the desk phone icon will then change back to bright white.
5. Press (2 seconds) the Call button again. When you hear the double clicks, release the button. ‘Softphone’ will be announced in the headset, and the bright white LED will move from the desk phone icon to the computer icon.
6. Double tap the Call button and the LED under the computer icon will turn green. You are now ready to use the headset with your softphone.
7. Alternatively, if the headset is docked, press the green handset icon on the base. You will hear a click from the base, and the bright white LED will move from the desk phone icon to the computer icon. Lift the headset off the base and double tap the Call button on the headset. The LED under the computer icon will turn green. You are now ready to use the headset with your softphone.

If you are on a call with the softphone and the green LED is not displayed on the base, follow steps 5 and 6.

3. When you lift the headset off the base, nothing will change on the base.
4. Double tap the Call button on the headset. ‘Softphone’ will be announced in the headset, and the LED under the computer icon will turn green. You are now ready to use the headset with your softphone.

If you are on a call with the softphone and the green LED is not displayed on the base, double click the Call button on the headset to open the audio path.
