    How to connect Jabra GN9120 EHS / GN9125 EHS with Avaya 2420, 4610, 4620, 4621, 4622, 4625, 4630, 5420, 5610, 5620, 5621, 5625

    Prerequisite:

    Jabra GN9120 EHS + Jabra Link 14201-19
    Jabra GN9125 EHS + Jabra Link 14201-19

    In combination with one of the following Avaya phones:

    • 2420 from Call Manager EHS 4.0 or higher
    • 4610 / 4620 / 4621 / 4622 / 4625 from Firmware 1.8 or higher
    • 4630 / 5420 / 5610 / 5620 / 5621 / 5625

     *If the phone has an EU24 module the EHS cord can NOT be used.

     

    Connection:

    1. Remove your phone's network cable.
    2. Connect the EHS adapter with the "EU24/ ADJ" socket on your Avaya phone and the "AUX" interface on your Jabra GN912x base.
    3. Now insert the 4-pin connection cable into the socket identified with the “phone” symbol on the base of the Jabra GN912x and the other end to the "headset" interface on your phone.
    4. You can now reconnect the network cable to the phone.

     

     

    EHS setup:

    The Jabra GN912x must support and be set up on DHSG EHS.

    You can check or set it as follows:

    1. Place the headset on the base.
    2. Then press the PLUS and MINUS buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds until the online display on the headset starts to flash.
    3. The base will now display to you the EHS currently installed. The online light indicates "MSH", the pulsating light indicates "RHL", the MUTE light "DHSG" and the battery display "AEI".

    4. With the PLUS or MINUS buttons, you can now switch between the different EHS types.
    5. To confirm the EHS has successfully installed, the headset automatically switches back to charge mode after approx. 10 seconds.

     

     

    Base setup:

    The adjustment controller (small wheel) on the base must be set to "A".

     

     

     

    Microphone level setup:

    1. Please call someone with the headset.
    2. You must now simultaneously press the PLUS and MINUS buttons on the headset which immediately produces a signal tone.

    3. You can now increase the volume with PLUS or decrease the volume with MINUS.
    4. To confirm, after approx. 10 seconds a low signal tone sounds in the headset in the background. The settings are then saved.
