How to connect my Jabra GN9120 EHS / GN9125 EHS with Cisco 7942 G, 7945 G, 7962 G, 7965 G, 7975 G
Prerequisite:

Jabra GN9125 EHS + Jabra LINK 14201-16 (HHC adapter)
In combination with one of the following phones:
- Cisco 7942 G
- Cisco 7945 G
- Cisco 7962 G
- Cisco 7965 G
- Cisco 7975 G
System:
- Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM)
- Cisco Call Manager Express (CME) from version 4.1 and phone firmware 8.3.3. You will be informed of the required IOC version when downloading (Cisco).
(Remote call control is also possible In combination with the expansion modules 7915 and 7916)
Important: The following requirements must be fulfilled to be able to use remote call control:
VoIP phones SCCP (Cisco protocol) requires phone firmware 8.3(3) and the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) from release 3.3, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0.
SIP phones require phone firmware 8.3(3) and the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) from release 5.0, 5.1, 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0.
Connection:
- Insert the RJ9 to RJ9 connection cable supplied with the GN912x into the "headset" interface on your Cisco phone and the other end into the socket identified with the "phone" symbol on the GN912x base.
- Connect the HHC adapter with the "AUX" socket on your Cisco phone and the "AUX" interface on your GN912x base.

EHS setup:
The Jabra GN912x must be set up to DHSG EHS.
You can check or set it as follows.
- Put the headset in the base.
- Then press the PLUS and MINUS buttons simultaneously for approx. 6 seconds until the online display on the headset starts to flash.
- The base will now display to you the EHS currently installed. The online indicator light indicates "MSH", the pulsating light indicates "RHL", the MUTE light "DHSG" and the battery display "AEI".
- With the PLUS and MINUS buttons, you can now switch between the different EHS types.
- To confirm the EHS has successfully installed, the phone automatically switches back to charge mode after approx. 10 seconds.
Base setup:
Set the phone set-up switch to "B".
Microphone level setup:
- Please call someone with the headset.
- Should the person you are calling understand you only with difficulty or you are too quiet, you must press the PLUS and MINUS buttons simultaneously which then immediately produces a signal tone.
- You can now increase the microphone volume with the PLUS or decrease it with MINUS .
- To confirm, after approx. 10 seconds a low signal tone sounds in the background. The settings are then automatically saved.
Communication Manager setup:
You must go into Call Manager and enable Wireless Headset Hookswitch control for each extension. On the phone, go to settings> device config.> media config.> enable headset & also headset hookswitch. [The default is disabled.]
