How do I connect my Jabra Engage with my Avaya 2420, 4610, 4620, 4621, 4622, 4625, 4630, 5420, 5610, 5620, 5621, 5625 desk phone so I have remote call control using my headset?
Prerequisites
- Jabra Link 14201-19 Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) cable
- One of the following Avaya desk phone models:
- Model 2420 with Call Manager Software 4.0 or later
- Model 4610 / 4620 / 4621 / 4622 / 4625 with firmware version 1.8 or later
- Model 4630 / 5420 / 5610 / 5620 / 5621 / 5625
Connect your headset
- Remove the network cable of the Avaya desk phone.
- Connect the Jabra EHS adapter to the "EU24/ ADJ" socket on the Avaya desk phone and to the "AUX" port on your Jabra Engage base.
- Now connect the phone cable supplied with the headset to the socket marked with the phone icon
on the base and connect the other end to the headset port on the Avaya desk phone.
- Now you can reconnect your Avaya desk phone to the network cable.
Configure your headset when connecting to a desk phone for the first time
- For Jabra Engage 75/75 SE, follow the onscreen setup wizard on the base.
- For Jabra Engage 45 SE/65/65 SE, the initial setup is complete after connecting the cables.
Additional setup information for your Jabra products
- EHS cable/adapter type: DHSG.
- Clear dial tone switch: set to position “A”.
- We recommend setting the microphone volume to "7" out of 13.
