Phone settings
- Jabra Link 14201-10 Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) cable
- DHSG connection cable from Aastra
- Aastra 53i / 55i / 57i / 57iCT / 6753i / 6755i / 6757i / 6757iCT phone with firmware version 2.5.1.2000 or later
Connect your headset
- Plug the RJ10 connector (green) from the split end of the Aastra DHSG cable into the headset socket/port on the desk phone.
- Plug the RJ45 connector (yellow) from the split end of the Aastra DHSG cable into the socket/port for the expansion module on the desk phone.
- Plug the single end of the Aastra DHSG cable (blue) in the Aastra RJ45 adapter.
- Plug the single end of the Jabra Link 14201-10 cable (blue) into the free socket on the Aastra RJ45 adapter.
- Connect the 2-sided end of the Jabra Link 14201-10 cable to the Jabra base as follows:
- Plug the RJ10 (small) connector into the socket/port with the phone icon
- Plug the RJ45 (wide) connector into the socket marked AUX.
- Plug the RJ10 (small) connector into the socket/port with the phone icon
Configure your headset when connecting to a desk phone for the first time
- For Jabra Engage 75/75 SE, follow the onscreen setup wizard on the base.
- For Jabra Engage 45 SE/65/65 SE, the initial setup is complete after connecting the cables.
Additional setup information for your Jabra products
- EHS cable/adapter type: DHSG.
- Clear dial tone switch: set to position “A”.
- We recommend setting the microphone volume to "7" out of 13.
Phone settings
- For Aastra desk phone with firmware version 2.5.1.2000, the DHSG mode is deactivated by default. Activate it by using Aastra.cfg or mac.cfg with the command “dhsg:1”.
- Make sure to set the Audio mode to “Headset/Speaker". Access the phone settings by navigating to Options > Default settings > Audio settings > Audio mode > Headset/Speaker.
Note
There is no possibility for remote call control if you are using an expansion keypad.
