Why does the Jabra Sport Life app use English instead of the language of my iPhone?

Why does the Jabra Sport Life app use English instead of the language of my iPhone?

If your iPhone uses one of the supported languages, Jabra Sport Life will automatically detect and use the same language. The supported languages are:

    • English (default language)
    • German
    • French
    • Spanish
    • Italian
    • Korean
    • Japanese
    • Chinese Simplified
    • Chinese Traditional

If your iPhone uses a language that is not supported, then Jabra Sport Life uses English which is the default language.

You can change to a language that is supported by Jabra Sport Life, by installing it as a secondary language on your iPhone.

    Example:

If Chinese Traditional is the primary language on your iPhone, you can install Chinese Simplified as a secondary language. Jabra Sport Life will then use Chinese Simplified instead of English. To install Chinese Simplified as the secondary language, follow these steps:

    1. Tap Settings on your iPhone.
    2. Tap General > Language & Region > iPhone Language.
    3. Select the supported language you want to install.
    4. You will be prompted to select between Change to Chinese Simplified and Keep Chinese Traditional as the primary language.
    5. Select Keep Chinese Traditional, and the iPhone will reboot while adding support for Chinese Simplified.
    6. When the iPhone has rebooted, the Preferred Language Order will appear as follows with Chinese Simplified added as the secondary language.

    7. SportLifeApp_1

    8. Turn your Jabra headset off and on.
    9. Open Jabra Sport Life, and the language will be changed from English to Chinese Simplified.

There is a difference between the language of the voice readouts from Jabra Sport Life and the language of the headset. If you follow the preceding scenario, and your headset uses another language, you need to also change the language on the headset so that voice guidance will be in Chinese. If you do not change the language on the headset, the voice readouts from a workout will be in Chinese, and voice guidance from the headset, such as battery status, will be in the default language, which is English.

Note: This change may be applied to other apps that use the same language logic as Jabra Sport Life, and this could result in corresponding changes to the language they use.
