    Prerequisites

    • Jabra Link 14201-20 Electronic Hook Switch (EHS)
    • One of the following Avaya phones:
      • 1408 / 1416
      • 1608 / 1616
      • 9404 / 9408
      • 9504 / 9508
      • 9608 / 9610 / 9611G / 9620 / 9620C / 9620L / 9621G
      • 9630 / 9630G / 9640C / 9640G / 9641G / 9650 / 9650C / 9670

    Connect your headset

    1. Plug the phone cable supplied with the headset into the port marked with a phone icon  on your Jabra base, and to the port marked with a phone icon on the Jabra EHS adapter.

    2. Connect the cable marked red to the port marked AUX on the Jabra EHS adapter and to the AUX port on your Jabra base.

    3. Connect the white cable marked C to the port marked "Headset/handset" on the Jabra EHS adapter and to the "headset" port on the desk phone.
Important: If you have an Avaya 1408/1416 or 9404/9408 desk phone, use the white cable marked "A" (instead of the "C" cable).

    4. Connect the ring signal sensor to the Jabra EHS adapter and fasten it in the middle of the loudspeaker of the desk phone. This ensures that the desk phone can signal an incoming call to the Jabra headset.

    5. Note that the Jabra headset will not be fully functional until the colored markings for all cables have been connected to the Jabra EHS adapter, as illustrated.

    • For Jabra Engage 75/75 SE, follow the onscreen setup wizard on the base.
