How to connect my Jabra GN9120 EHS / GN9125 EHS with Aastra 6753i, 6755i, 6757i
Prerequisite:
Jabra GN9120 EHS or GN9125 EHS + Jabra Link 14201-10 + Aastra DHSG cable kit (only available from Aastra).In combination with one of the following phones:
- Aastra 53i / 55i / 57i / 57iCT
- Aastra 6753i / 6755i / 6757i / 6757i CT
- From phone firmware 2.5.1.2000 or higher.
Connection:
Aastra DHSG cable:
Insert the split end of the Aastra DHSG cable into your phone as follows.
- Insert the RJ10 plug (marked green) into the “headset” socket and the RJ45 plug (marked yellow) into the socket for the expansion module. [Grün = green][Gelb = yellow]
- Insert the 1-sided end of the Aastra DHSG cable marked in blue into the Aastra RJ45-RJ45 adapter.
- Now insert the 1-sided end of the Jabra Link 14201-10 cable marked “blue” into the free socket of the RJ45 adapter.
4. Insert the RJ10 plug into the socket with the complete “phone” symbol and the RJ45 plug into the socket marked with "AUX" on the GN9350 base.
EHS setup:
The Jabra GN912x must support and be set up to DHSG EHS.
You can check or set it up as follows:
- Place the headset on the base.
- Then press the PLUS and MINUS buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds until the online display on the headset starts to flash.
- The base will now display to you the EHS currently installed. The online light indicates "MSH", the pulsating light indicates "RHL", the MUTE light "DHSG" and the battery display "AEI".
- With the PLUS or MINUS buttons, you can now switch between the different EHS types. To confirm the EHS has successfully installed, the phone automatically switches back to charge mode after approx. 10 seconds.
Base setup:
Set the phone set-up switch to "A"
Microphone level setup:
- Please call someone with the headset.
- On the headset, you must now simultaneously press the PLUS and MINUS buttons which immediately produces a signal tone.
- You can now increase the microphone volume with PLUS or decrease it with MINUS.
- To confirm, after approx. 10 seconds a low signal tone sounds in the headset in the background. The settings are then saved.
Phone setup:
With the version 2.5.1.2000, the DHSG mode is deactivated by default and must be activated via the Aastra.cfg or mac.cfg with the command dhsg: 1.
From version 2.5.2 Options > Default settings > Audio settings > DHSG > On
Audio mode must be set in the in the phone settings to “headset/speaker”: Options > Default settings > Audio settings > Audio mode > Heads./Loudsp.
Unfortunately, Remote Call Control In combination with an expansion button field is not supported!
