We work closely with our manufacturing partners to set decarbonization targets, switch to renewable energy and minimize manufacturing waste, and we use LCAs to identify the least carbon intensive manufacturing processes.

We are working to increase the energy efficiency of our video products, where the use phase is a big part of the products’ carbon footprint. To further reduce transport emissions, we are expanding ocean freight and local customization.

We work towards designing for disassembly and repair to keep products in use for longer and avoid e-waste going to landfill. We offer a repair service for selected products. In addition, we are in the process of expanding our sustainability service portfolio with a device-as-a-service and takeback offering.

Building on our rapidly growing portfolio of products containing recycled plastics, we focus on identifying further alternatives to virgin materials, including renewable, low-VOC and recycleble alternatives to all materials in our products.

Materials
Making our products all starts with our materials. Using more sustainable materials means we need to consider recycled, bio-based and low-polluting alternatives for plastics, metals, fabrics and the raw ingredients of electronic parts and batteries. By 2025 we intend to use over 50% of materials that meet our sustainability requirements in new products. We’re making progress towards this goal and have launched our first products that contain recycled plastics in 2023.
