FAQ

  • Audio

    • I have trouble with the stereo (A2DP) functionality on my Jabra in-car speakerphone.

These functions are dependent on your phone supporting them. You may also simply need to reset the communication between your cell phone and your Jabra in-car speakerphone.

      Please try the following steps:

      1. Turn your cell phone off and remove its battery for 10 to 15 seconds.  Once you replace the battery and turn the cell phone back on, it should work again.
      2. To reset the in-car speakerphone, simply insert a small object into the hole found on the back of the unit and hold it there for a few seconds.  When you turn the in-car speakerphone back on, you will need to follow the pairing procedure again as pairing data is deleted during a reset.

Please check your phone’s user manual for further details.

    • Why am I receiving static on my Jabra in-car speakerphone?

All wireless devices may be susceptible to interference, which could affect performance. Make sure there is a direct line of contact between the in-car speakerphone and your phone. The Bluetooth signal may have difficulty transmitting through walls, buildings or people. Static or interference is sometimes environmental. Interference can be caused by computers, cordless phones, microwaves etc.

    • My Jabra device does not announce the caller's name during incoming calls

Ensure that your phone supports the Bluetooth phonebook access profile (PBAP) and that the name of the caller is in your phonebook.

Please note that on some Android phones a warning message about the phonebook access appears in the top left corner. You must select this message and agree to the connection in order to get the caller ID to function properly.

  • Features

    • I cannot connect my Jabra in-car speakerphone and radio via FM transmitter.

      Please try the following steps:

      1. Make sure the radio is turned on and the in-car speakerphone is in FM mode (FM Status Icon is on).
      2. If your radio is unabe to find the FM frequency set by your in-car speakerphone via the search function, the FM frequency must be tuned in manually on the radio. Please read the radio's user manual to find out how to manually change the frequency. If your radio is in TA (Traffic Announcement) mode, switch TA off and your radio should be able to find your in-car speakerphone when using the search function on the radio.
      3. If not tune in manually. The sensitivity of the search function on your radio determines, if it is able to find the frequency set by your in-car speakerphone. On some radios you are able to adjust the sensitivity, thus making it possible to find the speakerphone frequency when searching. If not tune in manually. In urban areas, it might be difficult to find a clear frequency. It is therefore advisable to use a frequency in the lower or upper end of the FM frequency band (e.g. 88.1 or 107.7 MHz) where you will have the best chance of finding a clear frequency.

    • My Jabra FREEWAY announces only caller number and not name during an incoming call.

This might be due to fact that the mobile phone could not forward contact details to the Jabra FREEWAY within the reasonable time, and hence it would only announce the Caller Number.
